01.07.2016 14:24 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while opening the Cabinet meeting, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the Ukrainian 20172019 economic and social development forecast is optimistic and must serve as a guiding landmark for the Government to organize its work on development of the national economy and improving the people living conditions,
Government Portal reports.
«Making forecasts is a good thing. But I want to emphasize that we should be oriented upon the rapid growth but, at same time, we shouldn’t break away from the real life.
Indexes, a boost in real wages by 5% this is normal, but this is not sufficient for people to feel confident. That’s why it is very important to keep in mind how people live, and under which real conditions. Our work must be oriented upon the people wages’ real growth,» Groisman admitted.
As to the Cabinet meeting agenda, one of the first issues the Government had to consider was the question of the approval of the Forecast for the Ukrainian 2017 economic and social development and Ukrainian 20182019 economic and social development key macroeconomic indicators.
«The macroeconomic forecast is optimistic. But I thinks we should, on the one hand, see the optimistic forecast, and, on the other hand, stay in touch with real life and understand that the situation in the country remains very difficult and challenging. So, the forecast is just a guiding landmark for us to organize our work,» Groisman stressed.
As to the report, the Prime Minister noted that the main task of the Government work is to create appropriate conditions for the development of the domestic economy.
«Everything we are doing is to be supported by the real economic growth, the State budget revenues and the resources’ efficient use,» he admitted.
