Poroshenko: Ukraine and Bulgaria have new prospects for development of mutually beneficial cooperation

As of yesterday, while on a official visit to Bulgaria, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he is confident that Ukraine and Bulgaria have good prospects for development of bilateral cooperation, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«Our today’s meetings, this visit and implementation of common agreements will open new prospects for the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Bulgaria,» Poroshenko said within the joint press statement with President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev.
«We have a huge potential of our relations, which has increased since the implementation of the DCFTA with the EU. As a result of the beginning of reforms, we have improved the investment climate in Ukraine significantly and are now waiting for Bulgarian entrepreneurs that will have an opportunity to come, start a business and be protected by the law of Ukraine,» the President added.
As to the report, Poroshenko noted the intensification of bilateral cooperation in various spheres after the visit of Rosen Plevneliev to Kyiv. Particularly, cooperation within the international organizations for the European integration of Ukraine and restoration of direct air connection between Kyiv and Sofia aimed at the rapprochement of the two countries and nations.
«We have achieved substantial progress in many spheres of our work and I would like to note the role of the President of Bulgaria in this context,» the Head of State stressed.
As to Poroshenko, within the negotiations at the level of delegations of Ukraine and Bulgaria, the parties have set future steps for the further rapprochement.
