Poroshenko: Cooperation between Ukraine and France is at the highest level

As of today, within his working visit to France, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has had a meeting with the French President Francois Hollande,
President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko and Hollande discussed the issue of introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainians by the EU, economic cooperation, attraction of investments, implementation of reforms and humanitarian interaction.
«I am confident that our current cooperation is at the highest level,» Poroshenko noted while making a press statement in Paris.
In meanwhile, within the meeting, Poroshenko thanked his French colleague for adherence to the Plan of Actions on the visa-free regime elaborated and approved by the European Council.
As to Poroshenko, he is confident that after the assessment mission had recorded full implementation of the undertaken commitments by the Ukrainian party and the European Parliament and European Commission had approved the mechanism of suspension of the visa-free regime, respective decision regarding Ukraine will be made.
In his turn, the French President noted that he understands the importance of this issue for Ukrainians. As to him, the French side is considering the opportunity of the visit of the French Interior Minister to Ukraine aimed at the elimination of all barriers in this issue.
The parties have also discussed a series of issues of bilateral cooperation. «We are interested in an efficient cooperation with French investors. After the constitutional reform on judiciary we have an opportunity to create an absolutely new quality of investment climate,» Poroshenko noted.
In meanwhile, Petro Poroshenko invited Francois Hollande to visit Ukraine. «You are always welcome in Ukraine, Mr. President. You are a true friend of Ukraine,» Poroshenko said.
