Groisman: Corruption is phenomenon which deprives our country of its future, that's why we have to tackle this challenge

As of yesterday, within his visit to the United States, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman took part in the annual conference of the Center for US-Ukrainian relations «Providing Ukraine with an Annual Report Card» in Washington, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, while speaking within the conference, Groisman said the Ukrainian Government would
continue to root out corruption that hampers to carry out reforms in all spheres of life and deprives Ukraine and Ukrainians of their future.
«Corruption is the phenomenon which deprives our country of its future, that’s why we have to tackle this challenge. Reforms provide us with opportunities and chance, and corruption deprives us of this chance and takes away opportunities. We will be determined to combat this phenomenon,» Groisman emphasized.
As to the report, the PM informed the conference participants about the first steps the Government to combat corruption in the Ukrainian economy.
As an example, Groisman gave the ProZorro e-procurement system implemented by the Government, which ensured transparency and openness of procurement and saved the public money.
