Ukrtelecom begins large-scale modernization

08.04.2016 14:29 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Within 2016, the JSC Ukrtelecom (the Ukrainian National Telecommunications Operator), launches the process of its technical infrastructure modernization, which is to be completed within the next three years, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrtelecom Director Yuriy Kurmaz interview with the Ukrainian Novoye Vremya online publication. «This year we have started a large-scale modernization process of Ukrtelecom’s technical infrastructure. The first results will be already seen by the end of this year. The program is designed for three years. Over this period, we will upgrade the access network in most cities and towns,» Kurmaz said. As to him, the company signed a loan agreement with the China Development Bank to provide this technological modernization with financial resources. As to Kurmaz, Ukrtelecom has also chosen a strategic partner to perform Ukrtelecom’s equipment technological upgrading - the Chinese Huawei Company.
