Belarus, Turkey plan to set up furniture-making cluster

The Belarusian State timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom spokeswoman Ruzhena Novitskaya has said within this week the issues related to the establishment of a furniture industry cluster were discussed at a business matchmaking session in Turkey, Belarus Radio reports referring to BelTA.
«The idea is to set up a furniture industry cluster in Belarus by attracting large businesses eager to make long-term investments and develop operations on the territory of an EEU member state. The Belarusian furniture industry has great development potential,» Novitskaya emphasized.
She pointed out that the core of the cluster will be located in Belarus, in the town of Rechitsa.
It is to be admitted, the business matchmaking session took place in the city of Inegol (one of the centers of the Turkish furniture industry).
