State Agricultural Products Control Committee: May 1 food wheat reserves totaled 3.2 mn MT

As of May 1, Ukrainian food wheat reserves were 3,202.50 MT, reported Cabinet press-service referring to State Agricultural Products Control Committee data.
As to Committee, country May 1 soft wheat stocks totaled 3,303.500 MT (hard wheat 22,600 MT); rye total reserves were estimated 367,300 MT (barley 903,700 MT; oats 70,000 MT; maize 922,900 MT).
May 1 leguminous stocks totaled 70,300 MT (incl. peas 67,500 MT, buckwheat 39,500 MT and rice 18,500 MT).
As to Committee, as of May 1, agrarians had declared in total 6,225.500 MT grain (incl. 2,287.200 MT grain stored at warehouses of agricultural producers, 3,537.200 MT kept at elevators, grain acceptance/processing companies or other companies providing grain storage services and 401,100 MT stored by other grain holders).
As earlier reported, Mar 1 food wheat reserves totaled 4,352.200 MT.
In 2005 agrarians had harvested 38 mn MT grain (wheat 18.7 mn MT, rye 1.054 mn MT).
Domestic market food grain annual requirement is estimated 6.57 mn MT.
