Pavlenko: Myckolayiv region has already harvested 136,500 MT new crop grains

Myckolayiv region, one of the first Ukrainian regions having started harvesting, has already harvested 136,500 MT new crop grains, Government Portal says referring to the Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oleksiy Pavlenko report made within a yesterday meeting with Myckolayiv region agricultural producers in the framework of his working visit to this region.
As to Pavlenko, in Myckolayiv region, winter barley has been already threshed at 42,600 ha (17% total planned), with winter barley crop having reached 132,400 MT (yield - 31,1 metric centners per ha, up against Ukrainian average 30,8 metric centners per ha).
Besides, Myckolayiv region agrarians have already started harvesting peas, winter wheat and winter rape.
«Myckolayiv region is an agrarian outpost of the Ukrainian South. Here is situated the main gate of our country for the agrarians products’ export. I have started my working visit to the region by a meeting with you in order to hear directly from the agricultural producers about the current situation and problematic issues that require the support of the Ministry, especially those ones which deal with agrarians’ fuel provision,» the Minister addressed the meeting participants.
