Poroshenko: One must accelerate the pace of reforms

President Petro Poroshenko is not content with the pace of Ukrainian reforms. «Our citizens as well as foreign countries have extremely high expectations regarding reforms. As President, I am absolutely discontent with the pace of reforms,» President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports quoting the Ukrainian President as speaking within the yesterday meeting of the National Council of Reforms.
As to the report, the President emphasized that the National Council of Reforms was an important and efficient instrument. Poroshenko urged to conduct discussions on the reforms in the National Council of Reforms in order to increase the approval rate of governments decisions in the Parliament. «Initiatives regarding reforms must pass the Government and Parliament as fast as possible,» the President said.
Besides, he also emphasized the need for enhancing coordination in the implementation of reforms and instructed Head of the Presidential Administration Borys Lozhkin to join that process.
As to the report, the President informed on his having signed the Decree appointing Borys Lozhkin Deputy Chairman of the National Council of Reforms and assigning him functions of coordination and control over the execution of the Councils decisions to him. «I expect efficient steps in this direction,» Poroshenko stressed.
