Poroshenko emphasizes need for creating of favorable investment climate in agro-industrial and fuel-energy complexes

As of yesterday, the fourth session of the Ukrainian National Council of Reforms took place under the presidency of Petro Poroshenko, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the session touched upon the following issues: implementation of reforms in agro-industrial and fuel-energy complexes, as well as implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU.
Reportedly, at the beginning of the session the President underlined the role of agricultural sphere in the economy of the state, which is one of the key export oriented units of the national economy in conditions of aggression against Ukraine. «When the aggression against Ukraine has destroyed the industrial potential of Donetsk and Luhansk region and caused the reduction of export in mechanical engineering and metallurgical complexes, agricultural sphere has become a locomotive of export revenues,» Poroshenko noted.
Therefore, the President stressed the need for creating of a favorable investment climate in these sectors.
The Head of State has drawn particular attention to the reformation of fuel-energy complex. He has called the adoption of amendments to the Law on joint-stock companies important, for they will allow restoring state control over the enterprises and establishing transparent system of functioning.
Petro Poroshenko also focused on the issues of struggle against corruption. As to the President, one of the most important steps that will prevent corruption is the introduction of electronic subthreshold public procurement. «This is the evaluation of every minister. Lets see who is working efficiently in the introduction of electronic procurement nowadays and who wants to live in the old manner,» he said.
