Summit Ukraine-EU will take place on Apr 27

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, in the course of the conversation, Jean-Claude Juncker informed that he had to postpone his visit to Kyiv planned for Monday, Mar 30, due to unforeseen health conditions. The parties agreed to coordinate new date of the visit via diplomatic channels and confirmed that the Summit Ukraine-EU would be held on Apr 27.
Reportedly, Petro Poroshenko also asked the President of the European Commission to facilitate consideration of the opportunity of sending peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine within the Common Security and Defence Policy by the EU institutions.
As to the report, the parties touched upon the issue of additional mechanisms for increasing the macro-financial aid and participation of the EU in the international conference on support to Ukraine.
Reportedly, the interlocutors also discussed the agenda of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga. Poroshenko emphasized the need for settling the issue of Ukraines accession to the Agreement on Common Aviation Area and urged the European Commission to find mechanisms for compromise in order to sign the given Agreement within one of the nearest summits with participation of Ukraine and the EU.
