Jaresko: We now face a historic opportunity to uncover Ukraine's potential

As of Feb 26, there was held a meeting of the Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalia Jaresko with Danish business community, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the event was opened by Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Merete Juhl. The event was attended by the largest manufacturing companies of Danish investments.
It is to be admitted, the event was organized in order to discuss opportunities to address issues related to regulatory impact. In particular, in the framework of the event were discussed amendments to tax legislation and the prospects for further changes, the introduction of the test system of automatic VAT refund from 1 March 2015. The meeting also discussed the ongoing reforms, controlled by the Finance Ministry: the state of the State Budget, the impact of foreign loans on the stabilization of foreign exchange transactions and the support of business.
«We are interested in the economic stability and development of our countries. Danish companies have been investing into Ukraine for a long time and have established a significant presence in the country,» the Ukrainian Finance Minister noted and added that as of October 1, 2014, Denmark invested US$147 million into the economy of Ukraine.
«I believe that Denmark, together with other members of the EU and Western partners will benefit a lot, if they help Ukraine realize its goal of becoming a modern European state,» the Minister underlined.
As to the report, Natalia Jaresko also admitted that it is now a historic opportunity to unleash the potential of the country, its integration with Europe and the world economy.
«While rightly all attention is focused on stabilizing the financial system of Ukraine as well as the war in the east, I think it should be born in mind the huge assets of our country and the current reforms under way,» the Minister noted.
While addressing the Danish business community, she stressed: «Ukraine has great potential, and I want to reiterate that we appreciate your contribution to the economy of Ukraine and goodwill to Ukraine.»
It is to be admitted, about 120 companies with Danish investment are operating in Ukraine at the moment. As to the report, during the meeting the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Merete Juhl said that the Government of Denmark would be further interested in close cooperation with Ukraine, so it is important to maintain an open dialogue with the Ukrainian Government.
