International companies to conduct financial diagnostics of 30 Ukrainian agrarian State-owned companies

The Ukraine Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food together with international companies is going to start conducting internal audits and financial diagnostics of subordinate State-owned companies Government Portal says referring to the Ukrainian Agrarian Minister Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko report at the today meeting with representatives of leading international companies.
As to the report, 30 State-owned companies are to be tested.
Reportedly, the Ministry has attracted to cooperation such international companies as: BDO, Deloitte, KPMG, EY (Ernst & Young), PWC, Baker Tilly and Avellum.
The key purpose of cooperation is to reduce corruption risks and increase the efficiency and profitability of the Ukrainian State-owned companies by ensuring transparency of their activity.
«In short time, the Government plans to attract significant funding. About US$8 milliard is expected to be involved in the agricultural sector. And we must give corresponding proposals to the potential investors. Financial diagnostics of State-owned companies is necessary firstly for understanding of the current condition of each of them and the necessary volume of investment. Up to the results of the audit, the model and the action plan for every State-owned company will be elaborated,» the Minister noted.
