EU intends to increase humanitarian aid to Ukraine by EUR15 million

While speaking within the meeting with Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration on Jan 27, the
Director-General of the Directorate-General Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO) Claus Sorensen said that the European Union will increase humanitarian aid to Ukraine by EUR15 million. Sorensen announced this at a meeting with Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration on January 27, NRCU reports.
In meanwhile, the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Minister Hennadiy Zubko told that the decision to increase humanitarian aid by another EUR15 million had been made by the EU delegation after visiting the Dopomoha Dnipra center for temporarily displaced persons in Dnipropetrovsk.
Zubko said that EU representatives had talked to people who live in the center and saw at first hand that Ukraine needs serious humanitarian aid.
