In Berlin Arseniy Yatseniuk met with German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel

As of Wed, Jan 7, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, in the framework of the official visit to Berlin, met with the Vice-Chancellor, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany Sigmar Gabriel, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, within the meeting a joint statement was signed between the Government of Ukraine and the Federal Government of Germany on granting the credit guarantees worth Eur500 million. From the Ukrainian side the document was inked by the Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius, from Germany - by State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Matthias Machnig.
Reportedly, Yatseniuk said that among the priorities was infrastructure rehabilitation in the Eastern regions of Ukraine.
«The funds will be directed to rebuild bridges, hospitals, roads, social infrastructure,» he specified.
As to him, the loan is granted for a period of up to 20 years at a rather low interest rate, «so it is a real step of assistance, which was announced by the Chancellor a few months ago, when she visited Ukraine, and now it has come to a practical implementation».
Yatseniuk noted that within the two ministries there would be carried out all the procedures to solve who was to get the mentioned loans.
As to earlier report, the Ukrainian Prime Minister with the Government delegation is on a two-day official visit to Berlin at the invitation of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The delegation includes the Ukrainian Minister of Finance Natalia Jaresko, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin and Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz Andriy Kobolev.
In Berlin, the Ukrainian Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the Federal President of Germany Joachim Gauck, Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, representatives of German business and financial circles.
On 8 January, the Prime Minister will speak in the German Association of Foreign Policy.
