Belarus, China mull over joint truck production

Belarus and China are considering the possibility of setting up a joint venture to produce trucks in Lianyungang (Jiangsu Province), Belarus Radio says referring to the Belarus Foreign Ministry press service report.
As to the report, the issue was discussed during the visit of Consul General of Belarus to Shanghai Valery Matsel to Lianyungang and his meeting with Lianyungang Vice Mayor Dong Chunke.
Reportedly, the parties discussed the ways to intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation as part of China Silk Way economic belt project initiated by China’s President Xi Jinping to connect the seaport in Lianyungang and Europe’s port of Rotterdam.
As to the report, the sides also shared views on possible investment by Lianyungang’s companies in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park.
Reportedly, the parties agreed to organize a visit for a delegation of the city of Lianyungang to Belarus in 2015.
