Yatseniuk: Government lays down its powers before new VR, but doesn't absolve itself of responsibility

The Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk reminded to the members of the Government about a personal responsibility until a new Cabinet is formed, Government Portal says referring to Yatseniuk report made on Friday, October 24, at the Cabinet’s meeting on the eve of the election of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine due on October 26.
As to report, Yatseniuk reminded that pursuant to the Constitution, the Government lays down its powers powers before the newly elected Verkhovna Rada.
At the same time, he stressed that «the Cabinet of Ministers, after the elections, doesn’t absolve itself of responsibility until a newly formed Government is appointed».
«I demand a personal responsibility of each Minister. We will work until the last day. As we are accountable for the situation within the country to the people. And in this situation, I am asking to demonstrate mobilization and efficient work,» urged Yatseniuk.
