22.10.2014 10:47 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
A trust fund set up to scale up the global Ebola response has received US$14 million in deposits but needs «much more», UN Radio says referring to the UN Secretary-General report made through his spokesperson on Tuesday.
As to the report, the needs include trained medical personnel, mobile laboratories, vehicles, helicopters, protective equipment, and medevac capacities.
A growing number of financial and in-kind commitments are being made by the countries, the report runs.
In meanwhile, the World Food Programme (WFP) is building logistic bases in the affected countries to be exclusively dedicated to the Ebola response.
