«This time IMF experts were interested in judicial reform before the next review of the tranche, which will be provided to Ukraine in December 2014,» press service admits.
As to the report, the IMF experts were trying to figure out the financing of the Ukrainian judicial system, which, according to an expert on improving anti-corruption laws and anti-money laundering of the IMF mission’s delegation, Sebastiaan Pompe, is now in a state of financial stress.
As to the experts, the desired changes in the judicial system should begin with the development of a reform strategy, involving civil society representatives.
