Petro Poroshenko accepted resignation of Andriy Parubiy from office of Secretary of National Security and Defense Council

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko accepted the resignation of Andriy Parubiy from office of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to report, President informed about it during his meeting with the heads of NSDC departments.
The Head of State thanked Andriy Parubiy for his work and praised his activities as the NSDC Secretary in the darkest days of the existence of our country.
Petro Poroshenko said that nobody has had to work as the NSDC Secretary in such extreme and emergency internal and external conditions. «Every day Andriy Parubiy in his work focused on improving the defense of our country», stressed the President.
The President thanked the NSDC staff for effective and efficient operation led by A.Parubiy, and expressed confidence that such style of work will preserve in the future.
The President praised the contribution of the Maidan Self-Defense, one of the leaders of which was Andriy Parubiy, in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. «All the heroes of Self-Defense from the early days have decided that their position is at the forefrongfront. Today they are all there, bearing with honour the title of warriors of Maidan Self-Defense», said the President.
The Head of State stressed on the fact that Andriy Parubiy is committed statesman, and he remains a member of the President’s team.
In turn, Andriy Parubiy thanked the President and the staff of the National Security and Defense Council for their work «and extremely important decisions that helped us to survive».
