Cabinet can restrict wheat export

Cabinet plans to introduce wheat export licensing in order to stabilize domestic market situation and evade resources deficit due to this year wheat possible low crop, reported Cabinet.
As to report, initiative on wheat export licensing establishing is expected to be launched by Ministry of Economics, which is to submit corresponding draft resolution for Government examination.
As earlier reported, within this MY first 6 month (Jul/05-Dec/05) Ukrainian companies had exported 4.176 million tons wheat (up against 2.5 million tons as of last MY similar).
2004/05 MY (Jul04-Jun05) wheat export had boosted to 4.324 million tons, up 87 times (+ 4.274 million tons) as of 2003/04 MY; within 2004/05 MY wheat was exported mainly to Spain, Tunisia, Egypt, Italy and Morocco.
