Ukrainian Government Commissioner for European Integration Valeriy Piatnytsky forecasts that from late April this year Ukraine will be able to start deliveries of goods to the European Union in a preferential mode, NRCU reports.
As to a press release of the Ukrainian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, within the EU/Ukraine working group the parties discussed the specifics of applying autonomous trade measures to Ukraine by the EU. The EU representatives reported on the order for applying autonomous trade preferences, under which the European Union will unilaterally provide a preferential mode to Ukrainian exports. «Roughly these preferences should take effect for the Ukrainian side in late April-early May and will be valid until November 1. Due to this, the EU asked to accelerate the process of signing and ratifying the entire text of the Association Agreement by the said period,» the official said.
The European Commission delegation called in the coming weeks for the establishing of cooperation with Ukrainian customs authorities to issue certificates of origin in accordance with EU requirements.
