Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has rejected parliamentary speaker and interim president Oleksandr Turchynov’s no-confidence motion, seeking his own dismissal from the speaker’s post. Of the 289 parliamentary deputies, registered on March 25, only two supported it, NRCU reports.
Earlier, UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko had said that if the government’s actions continue to be ineffective, the question of the election of a new Verkhovna Rada chairman could be considered."We understand that government actions are also ineffective. And today, if this continues, we can raise the question of the election of a new Verkhovna Rada chairman," Klitschko said. After that the interim president Oleksandr Turchynov proposed «no-confidence motion», seeking his own dismissal from the speaker’s post.
