20.02.2006 14:10 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Agrarian Fund is going to begin 2005 crop grain purchasing for State Food Reserve on Feb 21, reported Volodymyr Ovchar, Agrarian Fund Chairman on III All-Ukrainian Conference Agro Perspective 2006: Problems of
Forming of the Market Relations in the Ukrainian Agrarian-Industrial Complex.
Ovchar declared grain will be purchased on Agrarian Exchange each day save for Sat, Sun and Mon.
He said so far just a few grain sales applications have been submitted to Fund from agrarians.
«We’ve got already applications for 3/4 classes wheat sales,» said Ovchar, «not too many applications, yet, I believe, we will buy offered grain.»
Presently Agrarian Fund purchases wheat at minimal prices (UAH690/t and UAH540/t) established by Cabinet.
As earlier reported, in 2005 Fund had acquired 95.300t food wheat (3/4 classes) on tenders for State Food Reserve food wheat purchases.
It is to be reminded, Fund had planned to purchase 100.000t food wheat until 2006.
