Yatseniuk to deliver speech at the UN Security Council

On March 11 and 13, meetings of the UN Security Council will be held.
«We are expecting on Tuesday and Thursday a Ukrainian issue will be considered by the UN Security Council,» the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk said at a briefing in the Parliament on the outcomes of his meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland and the Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, Government Portal reports.
Moreover, he told he would deliver speech at the UN Security Council meeting on Thursday.
Arsenii Yatseniuk appealed the Council of Europe, OSCE and UNO to immediately send monitoring missions to Crimea.
He added at this «the Russian soldiery is blocking travel of international observers along the Crimean territory, which has been and will remain an integral part of the Ukrainian state».
«We adhere to the principle of peaceful, political and diplomatic settlement of the crisis, however this principle is not acknowledged by the Russian leaders,» the Premier stressed.
He emphasizes there is a chance to peacefully settle this «conflict of the ÕÕ² century»: «This is not a two-way conflict, it is an attempt of Russia to undermine global security grounds and redraw the European map, including to reconsider the results of the Second World War. This is where Russia goes.»
«We will preserve territorial integrity and independence of Ukrainian state by all means which are in the arsenal of Ukraine and the world,» Arsenii Yatseniuk summed up.
