European Parliament delegation to visit Ukraine January 28-30

Though an initiative to set up such a delegation and send it to Ukraine was announced back on December 12, 2013, during the debate on a resolution on the Eastern Partnership, including Ukraine, because of the New Year and Christmas holidays in Europe and in Ukraine, the delegations visit was postponed until January 2830, NRCU says referring to Interfax-Ukraine.
Meanwhile, neither the final composition of the delegation, nor the program of the visit has been approved so far. According to the information as of Friday, January 10, the delegation will include MEP Elmar Brok (Group of the European Peoples Party), Jacek Saryusz-Wolsky (Group of the European Peoples Party), and MEP Marek Siwiec (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats). The delegation will include a total of twelve people. It is expected that the MEPs will meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, leaders of political factions, civil society and the European diplomatic corps.
