President: Ukraine and Czech Republic will further develop mutually beneficial cooperation

"Ukraine and the Czech Republic are willing to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation in political and economic spheres," the Ukrainian President said yesterday to journalists after Ukrainian-Czech negotiations, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«Our negotiations with President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman reaffirmed mutual willingness to comprehensively develop friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic,» Viktor Yanukovych admitted.
According to Viktor Yanukovych, the visit of Czech President Miloš Zeman to Ukraine is symbolic for Ukrainian-Czech relations. It demonstrates the new level of political and economic bilateral cooperation.
«The agenda of todays negotiations covered a wide range of topical issues related to the development of Ukrainian-Czech relations and the interaction of the two states in the framework of international organizations,» the Head of State stressed.
He emphasized that the parties had discussed future steps to enhance political dialogue, intensify trade-economic cooperation and expand cultural-humanitarian ties.
«We have agreed to make joint efforts for the intensification of Ukrainian-Czech trade and investment cooperation that has a huge unused potential,» the Head of State noted.
Viktor Yanukovych expressed confidence that two Ukrainian-Czech business-forums held in Kyiv and Donetsk within the visit of Czech President would open new opportunities for cooperation of business representatives of the two countries.
«The work aimed at the satisfaction of language and cultural needs of Ukrainian community in the Czech Republic and of Czech community in Ukraine is extremely important for us. These communities make a significant contribution to the strengthening of traditionally friendly relations between our people,» the Head of State noted.
According to the President, bilateral documents on cooperation in military-technical, tax and migration spheres signed within the visit will positively influence the expansion of legal base of Ukrainian-Czech relations.
«I am confident that todays arrangements will provide a new impetus for the development of Ukrainian-Czech cooperation,» the Head of State emphasized.
In his turn, President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman stressed the interest in cooperation of both Ukrainian and Czech entrepreneurs: «This fact demonstrates that our businessmen are interested in mechanical engineering, energy, transport and mail service».
«I am confident that my visit to Kyiv will facilitate the development of Ukrainian-Czech relations,» he said.
Miloš Zeman invited Viktor Yanukovych to make an official visit to the Czech Republic.
