Ukraine considering issue of increasing credit lines for irrigation with Chinese banks

Ukraine wants to expand cooperation with Chinese banks. In particular, the issue of increasing credit lines for irrigation is being considered with the Export-Import Bank of China. Ukraine is discussing increasing the existing $3 billion loan by another $3 billion with the Export-Import Bank, NRCU says referring to Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
He said talks with Chinese banks have entered the final stretch. The official said that half of this loan,will be given to our country by money, the rest by equipment. Mykola Prysiazhnyuk also said that the funds raised will be enough to restore the irrigation system on the area of one million 200 thousand one million 400 thousand hectares, while the total area in Ukraine that needs irrigation makes 2.5 million hectares of arable land.
