01.08.2013 08:12 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
In the course of the current year the cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus began to develop more rapidly. It was discussed during a meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
For five months of the current year the trade turnover between the countries amounted to UAH 2.3 billion and the Governments of both countries will be trying to increase these figures.
In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the details of the Plan of joint actions (of the «Roadmap») for 20132015 to promote cooperation and expand industrial cooperation. In late June, the final version of the Plan was sent for approval to the Belarusian party. The participants of the meeting mentioned that the agreements reached during a series of meetings this year (including those at the highest level) have already scored the first success: the industrial cooperation is rapidly developing between the two countries and there are good prospects for the creation of joint ventures, e.g., on producing combine harvesters «Skif» in Kherson.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Ukraine called the Ukrainian-Belarusian partnership the example of successful work that was shown by 80 Belarusian harvesters during the harvest campaign in the Odessa region.
