Ukraine will create a representative office under the Customs Union
20.03.2013 10:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
"We are now negotiating on such a format of cooperation, in the course of which our country will become an observer under the CU," Prime Minister said during his press conference on March 19, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
Mykola Azarov said that it was planned to establish such a representative office under the Customs Union, which would be involved in decision making in an advisory capacity: "It means that the Ukrainian representative will have the right to express our stand. In any case, we will not be faced with the fact, and Ukraine will know in advance about any decision. "
According to Head of the Government, it will allow our country to correct decisions at any stage. «Thus, Ukraine will permanently work with the governments of member-countries of the Customs Union», he said, reminding that this cooperation is extremely important for us, as only with the Russian Federation the trade turnover amounts to 65 billion dollars.
Prime Minister also said that during the negotiations with the TC another important principle had been agreed upon: Ukraine does not pretend to any preferences and discriminatory measures shall not be applied to Ukraine.
