13.01.2005
Ukrainian oilseeds market
Within last week processors have slightly lowered sunseeds’ demand prices. Domestic market average sunseeds’ supply prices were UAH1580-1600/t (EXW), demand prices - UAH1620-1630/t (CPT plant). There is no sunseeds’ export trade.
This season is characterized with sunseeds’ rather high prices; within entire season average sunseeds’ supply prices were UAH1550-1600/t (EXW), causing domestic market sunoil prices’ growth up to UAH3900-4000/t, much up against sunoil export prices (taking into account Ukrainian exporters difficulties as for VAT’s reimbursement).
12.01.2005
Ukrainian Grain Market
There weren’t any substantial changes of grains’ purchase prices. Within examined week traders didn’t carry out any active purchases; just a few flour millers and mixed feed producers continued purchasing grains to assure their companies’ uninterrupted functioning after New Year Holidays. Majority of market operators are expected to resume working after Jan 10.
20.12.2004
Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
Last week’s grain market activity has substantially grown up. Due to that, barley prices continued rising, while maize prices, vice versa, lowered down.
Grains’ purchasing in ports has also got activated, since traders must execute earlier concluded contracts in any case, in spite of present country’s political instability.
Food wheat/rye prices remain unchanged. Processors continue working in usual regime.

Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
Last week’s Ukrainian grain market was characterized with significant decline of its business activity, which is hardly to restore until yearend. Due to decline, there was no active traders’ maize purchases, what caused maize prices’ lowering.
All other grains’ prices didn’t change substantially.
There were no changes on flour/groats market, either. Though a number of groats’ producers have grown groats’ sale prices in order to low down Ukrainian purchasers’ demand, yet groat’s price growth hasn’t become large-spread.

Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
Ukrainian feed wheat/barley prices continue growing, due to active export purchasing. Food grains’ market situation remains stable. Maize prices’ growth has stopped. Many market’s participants are expecting maize prices’ lowering, due to importers’ slack demand.
20.10.2004
Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
Last week was characterized with feed maize and feed wheat prices’ lowering on domestic market. Food grains’ market situation remains unchanged. Rye continues getting more expensive, due to processors and exporters’ growing demand.
14.10.2004
Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
Within this week Ukrainian domestic market feed grains’ price growth has stopped, due to a number of big exporters having stopped grains’ purchasing in expectation of price decline. Food wheat prices continued rising up, owing to processors’ having activated purchasing as well as low grain supply. Most market operators attribute low grain supply to Ministry of Agrarian Policy’s having reached agreement with domestic banks upon deferment of repayment of loans granted earlier to agrarians.

Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
All grains’ prices (except for rye prices) continue rising on domestic market, mainly due to low grain supply. Agrarians, expecting further price growth, are not in a hurry as for grain selling. Exporters have started raising feed barley and wheat purchase prices in elevators and ports.
21.09.2004
Ukrainian market rewiew. Sunflower
As earlier, there was practically no old crop sunseeds’ trade in Ukraine, due to absence of free sunseeds’ volumes. Most domestic oil extraction plants have already stopped functioning in order to execute planned capital repairs, while some processors are going to carry out planned capital repairs in early Sep.
08.07.2004
Ukrainian market rewiew. Grains and grain products
Domestic grain market’s food wheat as well as maize prices continue falling. After last week wheat price’s sharp fall, price lowering tendency still remains, though its rates have significantly slowed down. Presently most Ukrainian flour milling companies bid UAH900-950/t (CPT - plant). Within last week maize export prices have declined by US$8-10/t, despite Byelorussian purchasers having got activated.
