As of Jan, agrarians slowed barley sale rates by 36.4%, down to 76,563 MT

In Jan 2010 agricultural companies have lowered barley sale rates to 76,563 MT, down 43,858 MT (- 36.4%) against Jan 2009, reported State Statistics Committee.
As for Jan 2010 barley sales structure, companies sold 0.6% total grains to processors; 2% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries, 3.7% - to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.
10.8% barley were sold on markets (82.9% - through other trade channels).
As to report, in Jan 2009 agrarians sold 120,421 MT barley.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in 2009 agricultural companies improved barley sales to 6.086 mn MT, up 581,000 MT (+ 10.6%) against 2008.
As to Agro Perspective, in 2008 agrarians sold 5.505 mn MT barley (up against 2.576 mn MT in 2007).
