21.09.2005 11:43 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
State-owned Joint Stock Company Bread of Ukraine is unsatisfactory acquiring this year crop grain owing to financial problems, reported Oleksandr Baranovskiy, Minister of Agrarian Policy.
«Bread of Ukraine makes grain purchases in a bad way,» stated Minister.
As earlier reported, last week Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko declared State operators had bought 0.5 million tons this year crop grain.
Cabinet plans to purchase in total 5.5 million tons new crop grain, with 2 million tons to be bought through Bread of Ukraine, 1 million tons through State Reserve and 1 million tons through Agrarian Fund.
Government expects regions will purchase 1.5 million tons grain for their own needs.
Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasts this year grain crop will reach 42 million tons.
2004 grain crop totaled 41.8 million tons.
