USDA bettered Ukrainian 2005/06 wheat export forecast by 10%, up to 5.5 million tons

US Department of Agriculture (USDA) considers Ukrainian 2005/06 MY wheat export will grow to 5.5 million tons, up 0.5 million tons (+ 10%) against earlier forecast, reported USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
Reportedly, earlier USDA had forecasted Ukrainian 2005/06 MY wheat export would grow to 5 million tons, up 1 million tons (+ 25%) as of previous forecast.
Jun 2005 Ukrainian wheat export has declined to 267.353t, down 54.200t (- 17%) as of May 2005.
2004/05 MY (Jul04/Jun05) grains export has grown to 11.075 million tons, up 8.31 million tons (+ 300%) against 2003/04 MY.
2004 grain crop totaled 41.8 million tons (up against 20.2 million tons in 2003).
It is to be reminded, this year grain crop is expected " 42 million tons.
