Russian sovereign wealth fund and SBI to set up $2 billion investment fund
24.12.2012 10:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Russian Direct Investment Fund and the State Bank of India will invest in joint projects worth one billion dollars each. A memorandum to that end was signed in New Delhi on Monday in the framework of Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, according to the Voice of Russia correspondent.
A new consortium will be set up to ensure co-investment, the Russian Investment Fund Head, Kirill Dmitriyev, has said.
He feels this is quite important, given that the bilateral trade turnover is due to grow from the current 10 billion dollars to 20 billion dollars. Dmitriyev specified that the two countries will invest in agriculture, logistics and mechanical engineering.
