Mykola Azarov has held several meetings with heads of foreign states

During a visit to the UK at the opening ceremony of XXX Olympic Games the Prime Minister of Ukraine has held a series of meetings and conversations with leaders of foreign countries.
Head of Ukrainian Government had exchanged greetings with Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, British Prime Minister David Cameron, U. S. First Lady Michelle Obama, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Prime Minister of Ireland Enda Kenny.
There have been talks and discussions on the issues of mutual interest with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Kazakhstan Mr. Nazarbayev, the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Aliyev, the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite, Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Mr, Faymann, the President of the Czech Republic Mr.Klaus, the Prime Minister of Turkey Mr.Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Belgium Mr. Di Rupo, the Prime Minister of Moldova Mr. Filat, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mr. Babanov, the Prime Minister of Estonia Mr.Ansip, the Prime Minister of Romania Mr. Ponta.
During the conversation with a member of the State Council of China Dai Bingguo a mutual appreciation of the state and dynamics of bilateral relations has been given. The sides discussed the aspects of the upcoming visit of the President of Ukraine to China, as well as inter-party cooperation between the Party of Regions and the Communist Party of China.
With the President of the Czech republic Vaclav Klaus, Mykola Azarov discussed the ways to ensure sustainable economic growth in the context of a recession in the EU, the issues of further European integration of Ukraine, the prospects of a free trade zone between Ukraine and EU.
In conversation with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias, Ukrainian Prime Minister raised the issues of bilateral relations following a recent visit of the head of the Republic of Cyprus to Ukraine, and discussed a range of problems of European integration of our country in the context of the presidency of the Republic of Cyprus in the European Union.
In conversation with the Prime Minister of Moldova Mr. Filat a forthcoming visit of Mykola Azarov to this country has been discussed. An agreement on exchange of visits from Heads of Government has been reached with Prime Minister of Romania. Ukrainian Prime Minister also invited the Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann to pay a visit to our country.
Proposals to go to Ukraine on an official visit have been made to the head of state Prince Albert of Monaco, the Prime Minister of Belgium Elio Di Rupo, the President of Panama Mr. Martinelli, Estonian Prime Minister Mr. Ansip, the Prime Minister of Lebanon Mr. Mikati, the Prime Minister of Montenegro Mr. Luksic.
In addition, the Head of Ukrainian Government has had meetings with members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
IOC President Jacques Rogge praised the holding of Euro 2012 in Ukraine. Mykola Azarov discussed with him the prospects of Ukraine for the right to host the Winter Olympic Games in 2022. The IOC president said that the first report to the Commission about the possibility of the Carpathian region of Ukraine to host the Winter Olympics had been positive, and the study of Ukraines application continued.
During the reception at Buckingham Palace, Ukrainian Prime Minister spoke to the members of the British Royal family. In particular, with Prince Michael of Kent Mykola Azarov discussed the possibility of organizing a flight across Ukraine of the aircrafts of historic aviation club within the scope of the international project initiated by Prince. With Princess Anne Head of the Cabinet discussed the prospects of the development of equestrian sport in Ukraine, the development of cultural, humanitarian and sports exchanges between our two countries.
During his visit to London, Mykola Azarov held a working lunch with representatives of British business and a member of the British Parliament Jack Straw, and also gave extensive interviews to journalists of The Times and Financial Times.
