06.07.2012 10:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is demanding to increase the pace of modernization of the countrys infrastructure, he was speaking at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Wednesday.
«The infrastructure renewal of the country continues. Moreover, I put the goal of doubling its pace. There is everything to do so. Teams are formed, they can build and maintain the most complex objects. Each of these teams will find their place in the projects to modernize the country. Im sure of it,» Azarov emphasized. To this end, the head of government instructed the Ministry of Finance to put funds into the budgets of 20132015 and subsequent years for the appropriate rate of growth of infrastructure construction. Additionally, the prime minister stressed the need to consolidate and strengthen incentives for private initiative. «The one, for example, which helped for a year and a half build such a number of hotels in Ukraine that have not been built in the last 20 years. I instruct the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to analyze the effect of these incentives, and offer, so to speak, a strategy of economic freedom in order to make the positive trends irreversible,» Azarov underscored. «Ukraine has begun to make up for lost years. We have enough work for decades to build modern airports in each regional center, tens of thousands of kilometers of motorways, high-speed railways, medical-diagnostic centers, more new housing to replace Khrushchovkas that is, all that determines the quality of life and at the same time is a catalyst for economic growth,» the prime minister underscored.
