Baranovskiy to create Agrarian Fund Agrarian Exchange until 2005-crop starting
09.05.2005 08:41 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ministry of Economics plans to
create
Agrarian Exchange (to be submitted to Agrarian Fund) until grain crop
harvesting begins, reported Oleksandr Baranovskiy, Minister of Agrarian
Policy.
«Presently we are doing everything to have Exchange created as
soon as possible, to have it formed until crop harvesting starting. Yet,
there are many factors depending not only on Ministry of Agrarian Policy,»
said Baranovskiy.
Minister added Exchange founder is most probable to be Agrarian
Fund.
Baranovskiy added future Agrarian Exchange tenders main
participants will be goods producers; Minister, however, didn’t provide any
additional details.
Answering Agro Perspective question on already existing
domestic agrarian foods selling exchanges further functioning, Baranovskiy
told though no exchanges liquidation is planned, yet Ministry of Agrarian
Policy is going to regularize their work.
«All these exchanges should continue functioning, they are not
to be liquidated, they are just to be regularized, their work is to be
arranged,» said Minister.
As earlier reported, in June 2004 VR had adopted Law «About State Support
of Agriculture of Ukraine», stipulating creation of Agrarian Fund (special
State-owned fund targeted at goods interventions/mortgage purchases as
well as domestic agriculture crediting State support/insurance).
End 2004 in Ukraine there were 458 exchanges
(agrarian-industrial -30).
