Cabinet to allocate UAH300 million of compensation for lost crops

This is what Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk told the press. He also said that farm enterprises of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, south of Ukraine, have begun planting early crops, having sown 8,800 ha as of March 19.
Prysiazhniuk also stressed that agricultural enterprises have already purchased 381,000 tons of diesel fuel that is 93% of the demand, and 96,100 tons of petrol, accounting for 90% of the demand. Furthermore, farm enterprises, given the ending stocks, have 801,000 tons of fertilizer nutrients, which represent 89% of the order. The minister added that the winter crops are fertilized throughout the area of 2.7 million hectares, or 39% of the forecast.
