15.03.2012 11:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
In the second half of March Russian consumer’s right protection agency Rospotrebnadzor will inspect Ukrainian enterprises, importing cheese in Russia, head of the state veterinary department Ivan Bisyuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Bisyuk, in order to settle the issue with cheese import Agricultural Ministry of Ukraine jointly with the state veterinary and sanitary service has prepared documents by Rospotrebnadzor’s request.
The official specified that Rospotrebnadzor will inspect Ukrainian cheese producers from March 19 to 21 and from March 26 to 30.
«After the inspection we expect at least a part of the plants to renew cheese import,» he said.
In Bisyuk’s opinion, the main problem of the conflict is that standards of Ukrainian cheeses do not meet the requirements of the Russian side. «I believe the problem will be solved in full and exporters will renew the supplies,» the official summed up.
