Economic losses from post-crisis reconstruction minimized by Ukraine
07.03.2012 13:54 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Ukrainian government has managed to ensure the countrys smooth, stable getting out of the 2009 economic crisis with minimal losses, in contrast to the leadership of the European Union.
This opinion was expressed by the president of the Center for Anti-Crisis Studies, the head of the department for economic and social policies of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Yaroslav Zhalylo, who commented on the results of two years of the Cabinet of Ministers formed March 11, 2010. He explained that, in contrast to Ukraine, the EU tried to stimulate the economy as quickly as possible and then got into fiscal deficit, «and in the end it turned out that today Europe is stagnating.» According to him, the fact that in the past two years Ukraine has managed to achieve positive dynamics of the economy and ensure stability in the banking, fiscal and monetary sectors is a credit to the government.
