Ukraine ups exports of goods to partner countries

Ukraine increased exports of goods to all main partner countries in the first 11 months of 2011. Exports to China grew by 66.2%, India by 62%, Poland by 58.9%, Russia by 48.7%, Italy by 29.5%, Turkey by 28.8%, and Belarus by 4.8%, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
«The largest export supplies were made to Russia 29.1% of the total volume of exports, Turkey 5.5%, Italy 4.5%, Poland 4.1%, China and India 3.2% each, and Belarus 2.8%,» the service said in a statement. The volume of goods exported to CIS countries accounted for 38.3% of total exports, to Europe 27.3% (including the EU member countries 26.6%), Asia 25.6%, Africa 4.7 %, and America 3.9%. Ukraine exported ferrous metals and products from them 31.4% of total exports (an increase of 28.8% compared with January-November 2010), mineral products 15.1% (an increase of 51.8%), mechanical and electrical machinery 9.8% (19.6%), chemical products and the products of related industries 7.8% (56 8%), vegetable products 7.7% (40.9%), vehicles, aircraft, and vessels 7.1% (52.4%), and fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin 5% (38.6%). Foreign trade operations were carried out with 219 countries. As reported, the deficit of Ukraines foreign trade in goods in the first 11 months of 2011 totaled USD 12.764 billion, while the foreign trade deficit grew by 59%.
