Mykola Pashkevych: The Government will support the development of renewable energy

The Government will support and encourage development of domestic high-tech industries in the area of renewable energy. The Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation of Ukraine Mykola Pashkevych said this during a press tour to the domestic wind generators plant «Avangard» of a group of companies «Carbon».
The Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation Mykola Pashkevych said commenting on the event: «Wind installations and equipment, the work which we are familiar today is a high-tech competitive domestic product. It can be used as population as industry. The development of such industries and technologies will enable Ukraine to carry out structural changes in the economy and reduce energy dependence of the country. The Government will fully support those who work in this challenging but promising direction».
According to Mykola Pashkevych, The Cabinet of the Ministers approved a list of goods of own production last week 80 percent of profits from the sale of which the customs territory of Ukraine is exempt from taxation. «Wind energy installations that we have seen included to the list. And this is just one of many preferences that you can use today»- he said.
It also was presented two operating Wind energy installations 0.8 kW (fabrication 250kW/hour per month) and 20 kW (manufacturing 5000 kW/h per month). Participants of the press tour got acquainted with the work of photovoltaic modules made by Ukrainian plant «Quasar.»
According to the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation it is predicted that Ukraine will produce about 340 million kW/h of electricity from renewable sources. In 2012 it expected more than 1 billion kW/h.
