27.09.2011 10:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
During a final round of negotiations between Ukraine and the European Commission, at the conclusion of agreements on Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and EU, the decision on growth of Ukrainian grain export quotas from 20 thousand tons to 2 million tons was accepted. It was declared on Monday by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov during a meeting with senators of the Spanish Parliament.
«I am very pleased that during the last round of negotiations the European Commission has proposed a compromise position on the export of 2 million tons of grain,» Mykola Azarov has noted.
He has reminded that earlier ÅC proposed to Ukraine to sign an agreement on FTZ proceeding from export quotas at a rate of 20 thousand tons grain-growing.
At the same time the Head of Government has stressed that the export potential of Ukraine, for example, in the current year is about 20 million tons of grain.
