16.07.2010 11:07 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Krasnodar / Moscow; CLAAS is going to strengthen its activities in the Russian Federation and plans to extend its production site in Krasnodar in the future. As a result, our company has now agreed a contract with the Krasnodar Region to purchase additional plots of land.
Dr. Ralf Bendisch (General Manager of OOO CLAAS in Krasnodar) and Ms. Elena Serdjukova (Head of Asset Management Department of the Krasnodar Region) signed the contract, which will allow the company to expand its production in coming years. This will open up additional opportunities for the company to develop its market position in Russia.
CLAAS has operated in the Russian Federation since 1992 as a supplier of the latest combine harvesters, forage harvesters and tractors and, in 2005, became the first foreign manufacturer to open its own factory for agricultural machinery in Krasnodar. To date, roughly 2,000 combine harvesters and tractors have been manufactured at this factory for the Russian agricultural sector. Other production sites are possible in case of market recovery in future.
In the Russian Federation, CLAAS has a modern sales and distribution organization including service facilities, a training centre and replacement parts supply system as well as a stable and well-structured dealer network.
