Danilishyn: global economy recession processes deeply affected national economy development

Recession processes which strengthened worldwide within 2008 have made rather significant impact on Ukrainian national economy development. Thus, as to State Statistic Committee data, real GDP growth has (after having had shown economic rise stable tendency (6%) within 2008 first half year) totaled 2.1% as of 2008 results, reported Ukrainian Minister of Economics Bogdan Danilishyn. While analyzing country 2008 industrial production results as for main branches, Minister said production rates fall tendency (which had started since 2008 second half year beginning) slowed down in Dec 2008, – what may be regarded as Ukrainian industrial complex stabilization tendency beginning sign. Also, Danilishyn admitted that since 2008 third quarter namely Ukrainian export-orientated economy sectors (firstly chemical and metallurgic) were characterized with production rates drastic fall, – due to 2008 second half global economic crisis aggravation followed by export markets corresponding demand decline. At same time, economy sectors orientated at domestic consumers demands priority satisfaction succeeded to retain positive cumulative dynamics (except for food industry, – 0.9%). Within 2008, country production rates growth leader was agriculture, which reached 17.5% production rates boost. As to Danilishyn, Ukrainian 2008 high crop is precondition for country export potential following time period considerable growth and basis for food industry/stockbreeding sphere processing companies work activation.
