May 2008 beef prices have lifted to UAH28,48-43,6 per kg, up 0.6-16.3% against Apr 2008 on 20 regions markets and simultaneously declined to UAH29,6-38,74 per kg (down 2.2-3.5% against Apr 2008) on 5 regions markets, reported Ministry of Economics representative. As to representative, May maximal (UAH43,6 per kg) and minimal (UAH27,0 per kg) beef prices have been registered correspondingly on c. Kyiv and Chernighiv region markets. As to report, within May beef prices have boosted by 0.3-28.4% (up to UAH28,71-41,66 per kg) against Apr in shops of 16 regions and simultaneously sagged by 2.2-17.9% (down to UAH26,2-34,7 per kg) as of Apr in shops of 6 regions. As to Ministry of Economics, May highest (UAH41,66 per kg) and lowest (UAH26,2 per kg) beef prices have been registered correspondingly in Kirovograd region and Myckolayiv region shops. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Apr beef prices had risen by 2.3-30.5% (up to UAH27,0-40,13 per kg) against Mar on all regions markets. As to Agro Perspective, within Apr retail sale network beef prices had improved to UAH 27,5-41,99 per kg (up 0.8-39.8% as of Mar) in 20 regions shops and, at same time, weakened to UAH30,15-36,91 per kg (down 0.1-11.8% against Mar) in 4 regions shops.
