Rada established new entry duties up to WTO demands

Verkhovna Rada has adopted Law “About Bringing Changes to Law of Ukraine “About Ukrainian Customs Tariff,” thus having fixed goods/products entry duty rates up to obligations Ukraine had taken while joining World Trade Organization (WTO), reported VR Information Administration Jun 3. In part., Law has brought amendments to regulations on goods/products entry duty rates restoration (determined by Ukrainian 2008 goods customs tariff fees collection schedule which is integral part of Ukraine WTO joining protocol), says Information Administration. As to Information Administration, adopted amendments will become effective since Jan 1, 2009, except for entry duty rates of goods groups 01-24 which had become effective since day of Ukraine WTO joining (save for milk, dairy products and wine materials goods items). As to report, Law also stipulates norms to be used to change some goods entry duty rates and specify some goods sub-categories on national scale. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Ukraine became WTO full member May 16, 2008.
