Kirovograd region agrarians estimate 100% winter grains sown areas as good/satisfactory

As of Dec 10, Kirovograd region agrarians estimated condition of 100% winter grains as good/satisfactory, reported Kirovograd Regional State Administration Agrarian-Industrial Development Department. As to Department, 76% sown areas have been estimated as good (24% – satisfactory). As to report, 100% regional winter rape shoots have been recognized as good/satisfactory. Reportedly, this year Kirovograd region agrarians have sown winter grains/green feeds at 399,800 ha (2008 crop), down 7.3% against last year; this year agrarians have sown winter wheat at 335,900 ha (winter barley – at 55,000 ha; winter rye – at 6,700 ha). Besides, this year regional agrarians have sown winter rape at 144,000 ha, up 2,2 times as of last year.
