30.11.2007 15:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ukrainian National Dairy Industry Workers Association Ukrmolprom forecasts this year Ukrainian full-fat cheeses export will grow to 67,200 MT, up 43% (+ 20,200 MT) against last year, reported Ukrmolprom President Vasyl Bondarenko while speaking on Conference DAIRY WORLD – 2007. As to Bondarenko, this year RF cheeses export is forecasted to rise to 53,800 MT, up 13,600 MT (+ 33.8%) as of last year. As to Vladimir Labinov (Russian Dairy Union Executive Director) Conference report, before RF authorities had banned Ukrainian dairy/meat products import, Ukrainian dairy products shared ≈ 50% (hard cheeses – over 50%) of total RF dairy products import. Labinov admitted now Ukrainian dairy products share is much down on RF market; Ukrainian products have been largely substituted by Byelorussian goods. As to Labinov, Byelorussian dairy products recent import has significantly grown. As to Bondarenko, Ukrainian 10 months 2007 dairy products export (in monetary terms) has risen to US$537.8 mn, up against 2006 similar US$395.7 mn. As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukrainian 2006 cheeses export had fallen to 49,229 MT (US$144.240 mn), down 66,981 MT (- 57.6%) against 2005 Ukrainian 2006 cheeses export fall is to be explained with RF having had imposed Ukrainian animal products import ban since Jul 20, 2006.
